ABOUT SKATEPARK

Alexandra Headland skatepark

Alexandra Headland Skatepark, located on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, was rebuilt in 2017, replacing the older facility that had originally been constructed in 1995. The park was designed and built by Convic, a leading skatepark design firm, and is now a key attraction in the area due to its beachfront location and versatile design.

The redevelopment cost $1.2 million, funded by the Sunshine Coast Council as part of its Capital Works Program, with additional funding of $347,000 from the Queensland Government through its Get Playing Plus Program. The skatepark includes a mix of features suitable for all skill levels, such as a 9-foot-deep bowl with granite coping, a mini bowl, and a street section with rails, stairs, and ledges. The park also includes modern amenities like lighting, seating, and free Wi-Fi, making it a great spot for both skaters and spectators.
