The Annie MG Schmidt Skatepark, located in Lansingerland, Netherlands, was opened with great public interest in 2017. It was constructed by SkateOn Skateparks, a company specializing in high-quality concrete skateparks. This park is a key part of the larger Annie M.G. Schmidt Park, which was designed as a multifunctional recreational area. The skatepark offers a variety of features, including street elements, and rails, making it suitable for skaters of all levels.
The park's funding was provided by the municipality of Lansingerland, with the goal of enhancing local recreational facilities for youth and sports enthusiasts. At its opening, the event attracted many skaters and families, and professional skaters like Robbin de Wit and Mike van Anrooy performed demonstrations.
Since its construction, the skatepark has not undergone significant renovations, but it continues to serve as a central location for both local and visiting skaters, offering a well-maintained space that fits into the broader recreational offerings of the Annie MG Schmidt Park.
