The Azcapotzalco Skatepark, officially known as "Capital Joven CDMX," is located in the Azcapotzalco neighborhood of Mexico City. Opened in 2014, the skatepark was designed and built by California Skateparks, one of the top firms in skatepark design and construction globally. This skatepark is certified by Street League Skateboarding (SLS), making it one of only a few such certified parks in Latin America.
The park covers 2,000 square meters and is designed with a circuit-like layout, allowing for smooth flow throughout its various features while minimizing traffic jams or collisions. It includes a wide variety of obstacles suited for skaters of all levels, including quarter pipes, pyramids, manual pads, banks, and rails. The design ensures versatility, providing areas for both advanced tricks and beginner practice. The park is located within Deportivo Reynosa, and its hours are from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
The development of this skatepark was part of a broader initiative by the Mexico City government to promote youth culture and recreational activities. Since its opening, it has become a key spot for local skaters and has hosted various skateboarding events.
