ABOUT SKATEPARK

Belconnen skatepark

Belconnen Skatepark, located in Canberra, Australia, was originally built in 1990, featuring its iconic 10-foot keyhole bowl. In 2011, the park underwent a major upgrade, designed by Convic Skateparks and built by Concrete Skateparks. The redevelopment expanded the park into one of Australia's largest skate facilities, including a street plaza, snake runs, and additional bowls. The park is renowned for hosting the "Belco Bowl Jam," one of Australia's largest skate competitions.

In 2024, a new 7-meter competition-standard half-pipe was added, enhancing the park's appeal for both amateur and professional events. The half-pipe was constructed as part of a local initiative that also included public artwork and lighting improvements. This upgrade reflects the park's ongoing significance as a central hub for skateboarding, BMX, and scootering in Australia.
