Bideford Skatepark, located on Kingsley Road, is a concrete park built by Canvas Spaces and officially opened in July 2019. It replaced a previous metal skatepark that had become outdated and was removed in 2017. The new park was designed as a large open plaza, featuring a range of street-style obstacles including ledges, rails, quarter pipes, a spine, hips, and hubbas, making it suitable for skaters of all levels. The project was part of a local initiative supported by Torridge District Council.
Funding for the skatepark came from local community efforts, with contributions from various public sources and support from the council to create a modern, engaging space for skateboarding and BMX riding in the area.
