Chambers Way, Biggleswade SG18 8ES, United Kingdom.
Biggleswade Skatepark, located at Chambers Way, was officially completed and opened to the public in July 2020. The new facility was designed and constructed by Maverick Skateparks, a leading company in the field of skatepark development. The park was part of a £200,000 project funded by Central Bedfordshire Council. This new concrete skatepark replaced an older modular ramp park that had been closed in 2018 due to safety concerns.
The design of the skatepark was developed with input from local skateboarders, BMX riders, and scooter users of all ages, ensuring that the park catered to a broad range of abilities. The park features a variety of elements, including quarter pipes, a 360° rollover, two volcanoes, and a bowl, providing a dynamic and challenging environment for users. Additionally, the facility is equipped with sensor-controlled LED lighting and CCTV to enhance safety and allow for extended use.
The new skatepark was developed as part of a broader initiative to improve recreational facilities in the area and provide a space that encourages social interaction and physical activity. The concrete construction ensures that the park will be more durable and require less maintenance over time, making it a long-lasting asset for the community.
The park has been well-received by both local residents and visitors, offering a state-of-the-art facility for skateboarding, BMX, and scooter activities.
