The Buffalo Skate Plaza, located in LaSalle Park, Buffalo, New York, is a well-known skate spot designed by New Line Skateparks and built by Evergreen skateparks. It was officially opened after years of planning and construction, with its design influenced by community input. The skate plaza includes features like street-style ledges, rails, banks, and other concrete elements that make it ideal for street skaters.
The project was initiated in 2012, with funding secured through various sources, including the city and grants. Notably, the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation supported skateparks across Western New York, including this one, through their "Built to Play" initiative, which also worked with the Tony Hawk Foundation to enhance public recreational spaces.
