2310 Brushy Creek Road, Cedar Park, Texas 78613, United States of America.
The Brushy Creek Skatepark, located within the Brushy Creek Sports Park in Cedar Park, Texas, is a 15,000-square-foot facility that serves as a cornerstone for action sports in the Greater Austin area. This project was designed by New Line Skateparks and built by SPA Skateparks in 2011. The park was the result of a highly collaborative process with local riders to ensure the terrain met the needs of both transition and street enthusiasts, creating a "destination-grade" facility that draws visitors from across Central Texas.
The design is a masterclass in "integrated flow," featuring a distinct transition zone and a technical street plaza. The transition area is anchored by a massive, custom-shaped bowl with varied depths, extensions, and a "cradle" feature that allows for high-speed carving and technical air maneuvers. This area flows seamlessly into a sprawling street landscape equipped with precision-engineered hubba ledges, flat rails, a "big-three" stair set, and a signature "A-frame" ledge. The layout is engineered to allow for continuous lines, where riders can use the bowl's banks to gain speed before hitting the street obstacles.
As the specialized construction partner, SPA Skateparks applied their expertise in high-detail shotcrete and hand-troweled finishes to ensure the park remains fast and durable under the intense Texas sun. The construction utilizes heavy-duty steel edging and high-strength concrete to withstand the heavy usage of a regional hub. The park’s location within the larger sports complex means it is surrounded by active amenities like sand volleyball courts and baseball fields, and it features professional-grade lighting for evening sessions. Today, Brushy Creek is celebrated for its exceptional build quality and its role as a premier training ground for the Austin area's thriving skate and BMX community.
