Camp Woodward in Pennsylvania, one of the most iconic action sports camps globally, has been a hub for skateboarding, BMX, and gymnastics since its opening in 1970. Known for its state-of-the-art facilities, Woodward has continually expanded its skateparks over the years, offering both outdoor and indoor skating options.
In 2021, Woodward unveiled its newest major project, the Town Centre Skatepark, designed by Nate Wessel. Spanning over 30,250 square feet, this park includes more than 35 street features, multiple bowl sections, a pump track, and numerous transfer points, making it one of the largest skateparks at the camp. The park was built by California Skateparks, a renowned name in skatepark construction, and is a multi-use facility designed for both teaching and advanced progression. This new facility replaced the old Outdoor Street Park and offers endless lines and features that cater to all skill levels.
Woodward also collaborates with big names in the skateboarding world. Ryan Sheckler, a professional skater, contributed significantly to the design and layout of the Town Centre park. The new features enhance Woodward's legacy of providing a cutting-edge training environment for athletes.
Over the years, Woodward has continuously renovated and updated its facilities to remain at the forefront of action sports training. Its extensive skateparks, designed to support both beginner and professional athletes, attract campers and pros from around the world.
