The Casco Urbano Skatepark, more commonly known as the Skatepark de Barrio Jardín (or the Skatepark of 82 and 118), is a historic neighborhood spot in the southern section of La Plata’s city grid. It holds a special place in local history as it was one of the first projects born from the "Budget Participation" initiative, where neighbors specifically voted for the creation of a dedicated skate space for the youth of Villa Elvira and Barrio Jardín.
Located on Boulevard 82 (at the intersection of Calle 118 bis), this skatepark is a gritty, authentic neighborhood spot that captures the "true street" essence of La Plata’s skate scene. Unlike the more modern, polished plazas found in the northern zones, the 82 Skatepark has a raw aesthetic and a layout that challenges riders to be creative with their lines. It serves as a vital meeting point for the local crews of the southern Casco Urbano.
Because it's located in a quieter residential part of the Casco Urbano, it’s usually less crowded than the downtown plazas, making it a solid choice for a peaceful afternoon session.
