Chudleigh Skatepark, located in Millstream Meadow, Newton Abbot, was built by Maverick Industries and opened in June 2015. The park is a concrete design featuring a mix of transition and street elements, including a large bowl, hubbas, quarter pipes, and ledges. The design is versatile, catering to skateboarders, BMX riders, and scooter users. The bowl transitions smoothly into the street section, which includes a back-and-forth layout, providing a fluid riding experience for all skill levels.
The development of the skatepark was part of Chudleigh’s broader recreational improvement efforts. Funding for the project came from various sources, including local community initiatives and support from the town council. The park complements other sports and play facilities within Millstream Meadow, creating a dynamic area for outdoor activity.
In 2021, a £95,000 pump track was also added near the skatepark, providing further options for wheeled sports enthusiasts. This was funded primarily through Section 106 money, with additional contributions from British Cycling's Places to Ride programme.
