ABOUT SKATEPARK

Cromer skatepark

Cromer Skatepark, located off Hall Road in Cromer, Norfolk, was designed and built by Maverick Industries and officially opened in June 2015. This park is a popular destination, offering a coastal-themed skatepark that ties in with the town’s seaside identity. The park includes unique features like a skateable lighthouse and a concrete over-vert wave, which not only adds to its aesthetic but provides interesting challenges for skaters and BMX riders alike.

The park was developed as a result of strong local demand, led by the Cromer Skatepark Association, which worked closely with Maverick Industries to ensure that the design met the expectations of the local community. The project received around £150,000 in funding, with contributions from Cromer Town Council and other sources. Before this concrete park was built, Cromer had an older, less durable skatepark, which had deteriorated over time. The new facility represents a significant upgrade, with a focus on durability and user-friendly design. It’s free to use and open year-round, making it a vibrant hub for the local youth and visiting skaters.
