ABOUT SKATEPARK

Darby skatepark

The Darby Skatepark in Montana was completed in 2017, designed and built by Evergreen Skateparks. It was a revitalization project that expanded an existing small, underdeveloped park. The renovation added 4,300 square feet of new concrete and included features like bowls and street obstacles, making it a more functional and exciting space for the community.

The project was primarily funded by the Montana Skatepark Association and Montana Pool Service, a nonprofit founded by Pearl Jam's Jeff Ament. Ament, who has been instrumental in the development of skateparks across Montana, contributed both financially and creatively, with his foundation playing a key role in the park's transformation.

This skatepark is one of several in the Bitterroot Valley area, and it reflects a broader effort to increase recreational opportunities in rural Montana communities. The park is now a beloved local facility, offering a safe and fun environment for skateboarding enthusiasts.
