Trucks and Fins is a huge present to the whole skate community - not just for the skating people, but also for shops, builders and schools. Super easy to use and can't believe how complete it is.

Nieuwe Leeuwarderweg 15, 1022 BN Amsterdam, Netherlands.
De Roze Tanker Skatepark, located in the Noorderpark area of Amsterdam Noord, was built as part of a creative urban revitalization project. The skatepark is a temporary installation funded and developed as a collaborative art and skateboarding project. It was commissioned by Converse as part of their CONS project and officially opened in July 2014. The design was crafted by Mick Johan and Michael Groenewegen, while the architecture was overseen by Guido Schuurman from Atelier OUI, known for its focus on urban sports architecture. The construction was completed by Sterling Projects, and the park spans approximately 420 square meters.
The skatepark itself reflects the unique character of Amsterdam Noord, featuring narrow streets and playful design elements like a kitschy eagle statue and a sunken Canta car, which is iconic in the local area. Its distinctive style is deeply integrated into the local culture and environment, serving not only as a sports facility but also as a cultural landmark.
Beyond the skatepark, the Roze Tanker building, once a derelict gas station, has been transformed into a vibrant public space for cultural and social events, including exhibitions, music sessions, and workshops. The entire space, including the skatepark, is part of a broader effort to regenerate the Noorderpark area and create inclusive spaces for the local community.
This skatepark is unique not only for its design but also for how it integrates public art and community engagement, making it a staple in Amsterdam Noord’s cultural and recreational landscape.
