SpohnRanch, a well-known skatepark design firm. The skatepark spans 14,000 square feet and features a mix of both street and transition elements, making it suitable for skaters of all skill levels. Key features include a flow bowl, quarter pipes, hubbas, rails, and ledges, as well as a unique wave-shaped structure that has become a signature element of the park.
The park was part of a larger renovation project after the original Dublin skatepark, built in the early 2000s, had design flaws and awkward transitions that limited its potential. The redesign of the skatepark focused on addressing these issues, with Spohn Ranch involving local skaters in the design process through community input sessions. This collaborative approach ensured that the new skatepark met the needs of the community and provided a better flow and balance between transition and street elements.
The construction of the new skatepark was funded by the City of Dublin as part of the city's broader efforts to enhance public recreational spaces. The park is open daily from dawn to dusk and offers night lighting, making it accessible for evening skating.
This modern skatepark has become a popular spot for skaters in the Columbus area, drawing visitors from surrounding regions due to its thoughtful design and high-quality features.
