The Edge Skatepark, located at Calista Oval in Kwinana, is one of Western Australia's largest skateparks, covering 1,800 square meters. It was built at a cost of $1.5 million and officially opened in 2018. The park was designed with input from the local community, including skaters, parents, and a dedicated Skatepark Reference Group. It was developed by the City of Kwinana, reflecting the area's industrial heritage through its design, which incorporates metal textures and industrial-inspired elements.
The skatepark includes features for all skill levels, such as a competition-level bowl, beginner's area, street section, and parkour obstacles. Additional facilities include a basketball half-court, bike and skateboard repair stations, and amenities like phone charging stations, free Wi-Fi, drink fountains, and seating. The park is known for hosting various events, including skate, BMX, and scooter competitions, organized by the City of Kwinana's Youth Team.
