Fordingbridge Skatepark, located in Hampshire, underwent a significant redevelopment in April 2019. The skatepark was designed and built by Maverick Skateparks, a prominent company in the UK known for its high-quality skatepark constructions. The new facility replaced an older, metal-structured skatepark that was no longer suitable for the community's needs. The revamped park features a modern concrete design, including various quarter pipes, rails, and ramps, catering to skaters of all skill levels.
The project was funded through local council budgets, which aimed to create a more durable and engaging space for skateboarders, BMX riders, and scooter users. Fordingbridge Town Council oversaw the planning and funding efforts, ensuring that the park met the demands of its users while staying within budget. The community played an essential role, providing feedback during the design process to fine-tune the layout and ensure the park catered to a wide range of abilities.
This skatepark is now a popular gathering spot for both locals and visitors, offering a safe and fun environment for recreational activities. The modern design and durability of the materials used ensure the park will remain a valuable asset for the community for many years to come.
