The Farm Pond Skatepark, also known as the Framingham Skatepark, is a 10,000-square-foot concrete park located at Farm Pond Park on Dudley Road in Framingham, Massachusetts. This skatepark was completed in 2018 following extensive community involvement and design input. Designed by Pillar Design Studios and built by Artisan Skateparks, it features both bowl and street elements, making it versatile for various skill levels and riding styles. Key features include a large open bowl with multiple hips, quarter pipes, stairs, ledges, banks, a spine, and a vert wall ride, providing options for both flow and technical tricks.
The project was part of Framingham's larger urban improvement initiatives, with workshops held to involve residents in the design process. These sessions allowed local skaters and community members to influence the layout and features, ensuring it met local needs. Today, the skatepark is a well-loved community spot, attracting skateboarders, BMX riders, and scooter users. Its location near walking paths and greenspaces also adds to its accessibility and appeal.
Open daily from dawn to dusk, Farm Pond Skatepark has become an integral part of Framingham's recreational facilities, also hosting summer skateboard lessons through the local recreation department. This investment reflects Framingham’s commitment to community wellness and youth engagement, offering a safe and structured environment for skaters to practice and socialize.
