General Roca skatepark is a concrete park featuring a large bowl and a transition area with street elements. The skatepark in General Roca is located at Edmundo Gelonch 929 (R8332), situated within the Paseo del Canal Grande, which is the city's primary recreational and green corridor.
Officially known as the Skatepark de General Roca, this facility is one of the most iconic spots for action sports in the Upper Valley of Río Negro. The park features a "bowl" design combined with a street section that includes quarters, banks, and rails. Its location alongside the Canal Grande makes it a central meeting point for the regional skateboarding and BMX community.
The site underwent a major renovation and expansion in recent years to modernize the concrete surfaces and improve the surrounding infrastructure, including the installation of professional-grade public lighting for night sessions. It is a free-access public space that regularly hosts "Skate Park" events, municipal schools, and regional competitions, benefiting from its proximity to the city's main university district and various cafes and shops along Avenida Gelonch.
