Trucks and Fins is a huge present to the whole skate community - not just for the skating people, but also for shops, builders and schools. Super easy to use and can't believe how complete it is.

The Genoveva Chavez Skatepark in Santa Fe, New Mexico, opened in 2017 after a community-driven effort to build a modern skateboarding facility. Designed and constructed by SpohnRanch, a well-known skatepark design and construction company, this park spans 9,000 square feet and offers a range of features catering to skaters of all levels.
The design process involved local skaters through workshops and an open communication platform to ensure the park reflected the preferences of the community. The park's centerpiece is a three-lobed bowl with depths ranging from 4 to 7 feet, along with a unique 8-foot over-vert cradle. This advanced feature is paired with hips, waterfalls, and a variety of pockets, providing a challenging environment for experienced bowl skaters.
In addition to the bowl, the skatepark includes a street section featuring manual pads, stairs, hubba ledges, rails, and a pole jam. These elements make the park well-rounded, offering diverse terrain for street skaters as well. A standout aspect of the park is the homage to Pueblo-style architecture, visible in the design of the quarter-pipes and banks.
Funding for the skatepark came from the City of Santa Fe, as part of a larger effort to enhance community recreation facilities, particularly at the Genoveva Chavez Community Center, located nearby. The park is open to the public and has become a popular spot for both local skaters and visitors. Although the park is relatively new and has not undergone major renovations yet, its design and build quality are expected to keep it in good shape for years. With its unique mix of features and strong community involvement in the design process, the Genoveva Chavez Skatepark is a key asset in Santa Fe's recreational offerings.
