The Geuljanslaan Skatepark in Roermond, Netherlands, is a modern concrete skatepark designed to accommodate skaters of various skill levels. It was built by SkateOn Skateparks and officially opened in 2020. This new facility was part of a broader initiative by the municipality of Roermond, which collaborated with local skaters and designers to renovate the existing skatepark on the same site.
The updated design, realized with the input of DSGN Concepts, includes various features like a volcano, hubbas, quarterpipes, funbox, manual pads, and rails, all of which offer a versatile skating experience. The park's renovation came after a strategic review of Roermond’s skate facilities, which resulted in focusing on this site for a full overhaul.
The funding for this project was provided by the local government, as part of its efforts to enhance public spaces and cater to the active sports community. The renovation aimed to create a sustainable, well-designed park that can serve the local skateboarding culture for years to come.
