Gillette Skatepark, officially known as Campbell County Skatepark, is located in Gillette, Wyoming, and was completed in 2014. This 10,000-square-foot outdoor concrete park was designed and built by SpohnRanch, a company known for creating custom skateparks across the U.S. The project was the result of an extensive site selection process, where the 4J Road location was chosen for its accessibility and minimal environmental impact. Local skateboarders were also involved in the design process to ensure the park would meet the needs of the community.
The skatepark features a ¾ open bowl, various street-style elements like handrails, stairs, ledges, kickers, hubbas, and a pump track. One of the standout features is a custom steel sculpture of the Campbell County mountain range logo, integrated into a quarterpipe. The park is free to use and open from sunrise to sunset.
The funding for the park was part of a broader initiative by the county to improve recreational spaces, with the skatepark serving as a central feature of these efforts. Additionally, the park includes long-term stormwater management plans and unique aesthetic elements, such as colored concrete and skateable boulders, ensuring durability and a creative skate environment.
Since its opening, the park has been a popular destination not only for local skaters but also for visitors from neighboring states like Montana.
