790 Hill Street, Greensboro, North Carolina 27408, United States of America
The Latham Skatepark in Greensboro, North Carolina, is a prominent 10,000-square-foot concrete skatepark that opened in 2017. Designed by Pillar Design Studios and built by Artisan Skateparks, this park reflects Greensboro's commitment to supporting local youth and skate culture. Located at 790 Hill Street, Latham Skatepark is distinctively structured around a historic 200-year-old oak tree, dividing it into two main sections: a flow bowl area and a street plaza. This unique design preserves the tree and integrates it into the park layout, connecting the sections with a pump track, making the park feel both expansive and interconnected.
The flow bowl features multiple depths and pockets, providing opportunities for skaters of various skill levels. The street section, which includes ledges, rails, and a funbox, caters to technical street skating, creating a balanced space for both transition and street skating enthusiasts. Open daily from 7 a.m. until dusk, the skatepark allows entry free of charge for skateboarders, BMX riders, and scooter riders, making it highly accessible for the Greensboro community and surrounding areas.
As a significant part of Greensboro’s recreational amenities, Latham Skatepark was funded by city investments in public sports infrastructure, aligning with Greensboro’s goal to foster a vibrant and active community. The skatepark also holds local events, adding to its role as a social and recreational hub for the area.
