535 Kelly Avenue, Half Moon Bay, California 94019, United States of America.
Located on Kelly Avenue, the Half Moon Bay Skatepark is a 7,000-square-foot concrete haven designed for skateboarders of all skill levels. Opened in October 2016, this modern facility was designed by the renowned skatepark architects at Wormhoudt Inc. and built by California Skateparks, known for creating high-quality parks across the country. The skatepark features a combination of street-style elements like stairs, rails, and ledges, alongside smooth transition sections with bowls and ramps, making it a favorite for both local skaters and visitors.
The park’s construction was a community effort supported by the City of Half Moon Bay, with contributions from local businesses and volunteers. It is situated next to the local community center, providing a family-friendly environment for skaters to hone their skills. In terms of events, the skatepark often hosts community gatherings, contests, and skateboarding clinics, making it a central hub for skate culture on the San Mateo Coastside.
The park stands as a testament to the dedicated efforts of the local community, with individuals like Michelle Dragony and organizations like "Skate the Coast" advocating for its development over the years. The skatepark is also accessible to BMX riders, further enhancing its role as a key destination for extreme sports enthusiasts.
