Trucks and Fins is a huge present to the whole skate community - not just for the skating people, but also for shops, builders and schools. Super easy to use and can't believe how complete it is.

The Historic Fourth Ward Skatepark in Atlanta, Georgia, is an iconic part of the city’s BeltLine project and stands as Atlanta's first public skatepark. Opened in 2011, this facility was designed with direct input from the local skateboard community to ensure it would meet a wide range of needs for skaters of all levels. Pillar Design studios was responsible for the design of the skatepark. The park includes street and transition elements, such as an expansive bowl and street features like ledges, banks, stairs, and rails, creating a versatile and inclusive environment. The Skatepark project contributed $25,000 to the project, and Tony Hawk himself attended the grand opening, recognizing the park's unique design and community-driven spirit.
Located along the Eastside Trail and adjacent to the sprawling Historic Fourth Ward Park, this skatepark is part of a broader greenspace initiative. The surrounding park includes a multi-use athletic field, playground, and access to the Eastside Trail, making it a vibrant hub for both recreation and relaxation. Sustainable elements, such as solar panels and an underground cistern for non-potable water, were incorporated to minimize environmental impact, aligning with the BeltLine’s eco-friendly goals.
In 2024, the skatepark was renamed the Thomas Taylor Memorial Skatepark to honor Thomas Taylor, a pioneer in Atlanta’s skateboarding scene and founder of Stratosphere Skateboards. Taylor, who was integral to Atlanta’s skate culture, helped influence the park's creation, making it a fitting tribute to his legacy. The skatepark has since become a cherished gathering place for skaters, athletes, and families, contributing significantly to Atlanta’s urban and recreational landscape.
