The park was designed and built by SpohnRanch, a well-known company specializing in skatepark construction. It is part of the larger Huffman Park, a suburban community park that includes various amenities like tennis courts, a playground, and sports fields.
The skatepark is a favorite among local skaters for its compact yet versatile design. Key features include a mini-ramp with a large open platform, a four-stair set, handrails, hubba ledges, and a street plaza section that allows for a variety of tricks and flows. The mini-ramp, in particular, is a central attraction, drawing skaters who enjoy technical transitions and grinding.
The park was funded and developed as part of the Dundee Township Park District’s initiative to enhance recreational facilities in the area. It offers free access to the public from 9 AM to 8 PM daily, making it an accessible and popular destination for skaters of all ages. Although it doesn't have lighting for night use, the open layout and features make it ideal for both beginners and experienced skaters to enjoy during daylight hours.
