ABOUT SKATEPARK

Jackson Playground Skatepark

The Jackson Playground Skatepark, also referred to as Gardner Skatepark, is a 4,000-square-foot outdoor concrete skatepark located in Gardner, Massachusetts. It was designed and built by SpohnRanch in collaboration with the city of Gardner, and it officially opened to the public in 2017. The skatepark offers a mix of street and transition features, catering to skaters of all skill levels.

Some of the notable features of the skatepark include a kidney-shaped bowl with a shallow and deep end, providing a great introduction to bowl skating for beginners. The park also includes quarterpipes, hubbas, ledges, handrails, and a flat rail, offering plenty of options for skaters to practice different tricks. Despite its smaller size, the park's layout and smooth concrete make it an enjoyable spot for skaters to hone their skills.

The construction of the skatepark was part of a community initiative to provide a dedicated space for skateboarding in Gardner, funded by local efforts and municipal support. The park is open from sunrise to sunset, though it closes during rain or snow due to safety concerns.
