The Lainate Pumptrack, located in Lainate, Italy, near the Centro Sportivo Comunale Nelson Mandela, was constructed as part of the municipality’s ongoing efforts to improve recreational spaces for the local community. The pumptrack, a popular attraction for cyclists and BMX enthusiasts, was designed to provide a challenging circuit with a series of rollers, banked turns, and other features that allow riders to maintain momentum by "pumping" rather than pedaling. The park is situated close to the Parco della Madonnina, making it an integral part of a broader recreational area.
The pumptrack was built by Velosolutions and the park's development aligns with Lainate's tradition of enhancing public spaces and sports facilities as part of its urban planning efforts, particularly since the 1980s when Lainate expanded its residential and recreational infrastructure.
