Lake Fairfax Skatepark in Reston, Virginia, is a 16,000-square-foot facility that opened in October 2012. Designed and built by SpohnRanch, the skatepark was part of the Fairfax County Park Authority's efforts to enhance recreational spaces in the region. The park’s layout includes a wide variety of features designed to cater to skateboarders of all skill levels, including a clover-shaped bowl, multiple street features, ledges, rails, and banks. One unique aspect of the park is its streetscape-inspired design, featuring "skateable art" elements that add to its aesthetic appeal.
The project received local support through community meetings, where residents and skaters provided input on the design, ensuring the park would meet the needs of the local skateboarding community. Fairfax County Park Authority funded the project, making it part of the broader development of Lake Fairfax Park, which is known for its family-friendly recreational offerings.
Since its opening, the skatepark has become a key destination for skaters in Northern Virginia. It does not feature lights, so the park operates from dawn until dusk.
