Lehi Skatepark, located in Lehi, Utah, is an 11,000-square-foot skatepark that officially opened in 2017. The park was designed and constructed by SpohnRanch, a well-known skatepark design and construction firm. The park was developed following community workshops that allowed local skaters, many of them teens, to provide input on the features they wanted to see. This collaborative process resulted in a skatepark that meets the needs of skaters of all skill levels.
The park's design includes two bowls: a large competition-level bowl ranging from 8 to 10.5 feet deep with a vertical section, and a smaller 4 to 6-foot kidney-shaped bowl for beginner skaters. The street section features various obstacles such as banks, manual pads, handrails, stairs, and an A-frame rail. One of the standout features is a large triangle-shaped bank and a "tombstone" element, which offers skaters a unique challenge.
Funding for the skatepark came from a $500,000 allocation approved by the Lehi City Council, demonstrating the city's commitment to providing high-quality recreational spaces. Since its opening, Lehi Skatepark has become a popular destination not just for local skaters but also for skaters from across the state. It has even been a designated site for "Go Skateboarding Day," a national event celebrating the sport.
The park's smooth concrete surface and well-designed features make it a top spot for skaters in Utah, contributing to its reputation as one of the state's best skateparks.
