Lerwick skatepark is a concrete park featuring an open bowl connected to a street section with a nice variety of obstacles. The skatepark in Lerwich was designed and built by Wheelscape skateparks in 2014. The skatepark is located in Shetland Islands park.
The skatepark is alright. Its got alot of space for flat ground tricks and is also fun to skate laps around. However in my opinion to be able to fully use some of the things the park has to offer you need to be at a certain skill level. Its also at one of the highest points in the town, so on a windy day you can get oushed backwards on your board. If its a nice day however, its definetely a fun park to use. There isnt a huge skateboarding community in Shetland so when you go to the park there is it a good chance you'll have it to yourself and on a rare occasion there might be one or two other people there. Also not necessarily good or bad but there isnt really any grafitti on it.
