The Logan Wells Memorial Skatepark in Anaheim, California, was built in memory of 16-year-old Logan Wells, a passionate skateboarder who tragically lost his life in a skateboarding accident in 2014. The project was driven by Logan's family and friends, who raised $190,000 in donations to build the skatepark. The City of Anaheim provided land next to the East Anaheim Gymnasium, and the park was completed in February 2019.
Designed and built by SpohnRanch, the 4,500 square-foot skatepark incorporates street-style features, including ledges, rails, quarter pipes, and banks, providing a versatile space for skaters of various skill levels. The design reflects Logan’s love for skateboarding and serves as a safe place for the community to enjoy the sport he was passionate about.
The skatepark’s creation involved significant community effort, with donations and support from local residents and businesses. The City of Anaheim also supported the project as part of its initiative to enhance recreational spaces. There have been no significant renovations since its opening, but the park has become a beloved spot for both local skaters and visitors.
