Located at Buenos Aires 1900-1802, the Bristol Skatepark is an urban masterpiece integrated into the heart of Mar del Plata’s most famous tourist landmark. Inaugurated in 2011 and designed by the legendary Marcelo "Moska" Bejenele, it was built to blend seamlessly with the historic architecture of the Casino and the Provincial Hotel. It is more than just a park; it is a "skate-plaza" that serves as the global face of Argentine skateboarding, attracting Olympic-level athletes and tourists alike.
The street section is world-renowned for its long granite-topped ledges (cajones), hubbas, and specialized handrails. The obstacles are built with professional dimensions and utilize the same high-quality materials found in the surrounding historic architecture. A central feature is the large stair set and "Euro-gap," which has appeared in countless international skate videos and magazines. It is the go-to spot for practicing high-impact bangers and technical flip-in/flip-out tricks.
Skating here feels like performing on a stage, as thousands of tourists walk past the park daily. It is the primary home of the Mar del Plata Skate Association and the epicenter of the local "Bristol Crew." Being in the center of the Rambla, you are surrounded by iconic architecture, public restrooms, and hundreds of dining options. It is also the main venue for the Mar del Plata Skate Jam and other high-profile summer events.
