The Margaret River Skate Park, located on Wallcliffe Road, is part of the larger Margaret River Youth Precinct. Designed and built by Convic, it is regarded as one of the top regional skateparks in Australia. The skatepark includes a variety of features such as a half-pipe, bowls, wave ramps, quarter pipes, and numerous street elements, catering to all skill levels from beginners to advanced riders. It also integrates additional recreational facilities like parkour areas, BBQ zones, and seating, making it a community hub.
The park has undergone significant upgrades over the years, with a major redevelopment effort around 2017. This was funded by Lotterywest, which contributed $1.39 million, along with community fundraising efforts. The Shire of Augusta-Margaret River worked closely with local skaters and Convic to ensure the design met community needs. The park is now a popular spot for both locals and visitors, offering a safe, fun, and well-maintained environment.
