The 8,000 square feet Melba Bishop skatepark is a concrete street park located near the Melba Bishop Recreation Center in Oceanside and opened in 2008. The park is open from dusk till dawn. Skaters must wear appropriate protective gear at all times. Riders who do not follow this rule may be asked to leave the park by recreation center staff. The park is open to skateboarders ONLY. No scooters, roller blades, bikes or other equipment is allowed in the park.
The SkateparkProject helped fund this skatepark in 2008.
