ABOUT SKATEPARK

Middletown skatepark

The Middletown Skatepark in Middletown, New York, is a 10,000-square-foot concrete skatepark that first opened in 2017. Built by SpohnRanch Skateparks, the park primarily focuses on street-style features, making it a popular destination for skateboarders, BMX riders, inline skaters, and scooter riders of various skill levels. The park includes features like a quarterpipe, flat rails, hubbas, ledges, handrails, stairs, and a manual pad, offering a range of obstacles for both beginners and experienced skaters.

Funding for the $600,000 skatepark came from city allocations, reflecting Middletown’s commitment to creating a vibrant recreational space for local youth and adults. In 2021, after vandalism caused significant damage, the city spent $13,000 to repair and resurface the park, reinforcing its importance as a community asset.

This skatepark is open from dawn to dusk and is free for public use. Its central location near downtown Middletown, close to key landmarks such as City Hall and local shops, makes it an easily accessible hub for recreation.
