The Monbulk Skatepark, located in Monbulk, Victoria, underwent significant upgrades as part of a community-driven project led by the Yarra Ranges Council. The redevelopment process began with community consultations in 2020, where locals were invited to provide input on design features. The updated skatepark retains its original half pipe and includes new additions such as a street section, intermediate bowl, and flow area.
The upgrade aimed to enhance the park's accessibility and appeal to a broader range of skill levels, making it suitable for skaters, BMX riders, and scooter enthusiasts. The project was completed around 2022 after extensive planning and feedback from the local community. This revitalization of the Monbulk Skatepark is part of the council's commitment to providing engaging and modern recreational spaces.
