Navarcles Skatepark, located in the town of Navarcles, Spain, was designed by PMAM and Skate Architects and completed in 2016. The skatepark was developed on a modest budget of €33,000, transforming a former sports area into a vibrant public space designed as a skate plaza. Inspired by iconic skate spots in Barcelona, the skatepark features real street obstacles, including replicas of the famous ledges at the Arc de Triomf and curbs from MACBA, making it an ideal space for skateboarders.
The facility serves dual purposes, functioning as both a skatepark and a community gathering space, with a higher level used for occasional events and concerts, including the annual "Rock’n’Board" skate festival. It was constructed using standard public space materials, like granite ledges, and includes greenery and trees to blend into its industrial surroundings.
