170 Everett Avenue, Newark, Ohio 43055, United States of America.
Newark Skatepark, located in Everett Park, Ohio, is a 15,000-square-foot outdoor facility that opened in August 2019. It was designed and built by Spohn Ranch, a leading skatepark design and construction firm, known for creating high-quality public skateparks. The park was funded through a collaboration between the Thomas J. Evans Foundation and the City of Newark, highlighting strong community involvement and support.
The skatepark is designed to cater to skaters of all levels, offering a mix of bowls, a full pipe, a robust street section with grind rails and ledges, and a pump track. This variety ensures that it accommodates multiple styles of skateboarding as well as other wheeled sports such as BMX and scooters. Additionally, the park features lighting, making it accessible for late-night sessions until 11 p.m., enhancing its usability.
Before this new park, Newark had a smaller and less developed skate facility. The construction of the new skatepark marked a significant upgrade for the local skating community. There have been no major renovations since its opening in 2019, as the park was designed with durable materials and state-of-the-art amenities to meet modern skatepark standards.
This skatepark has quickly become a hub for skaters in the area, offering a welcoming environment that encourages skill development and community interaction.
