ABOUT SKATEPARK

Onslow skatepark

The Onslow Skatepark, located in Onslow, Western Australia, was originally built in 2012 as part of the Shire of Ashburton’s effort to create community recreational facilities. The skatepark features an organic-shaped bowl, a pump track, cantilever banks, vert walls, and ledges. It was designed to cater to all skill levels and includes unique elements inspired by the local environment, such as representations of the region’s iconic termite mounds.

The park was designed and constructed by Convic, a renowned skatepark design firm, and has received national recognition, including the AILA National Award of Excellence for Play Spaces. It serves as a community hub and provides spaces for other activities, such as ping pong, hopscotch, and four-square.

Ongoing updates have been made to maintain the facility, including recent concrete works and painting in 2024, ensuring it continues to serve the community for years to come.
