Pärnu Munamäe Skatepark, located in Munamäe Park in Pärnu, Estonia, has been a popular spot for skateboarding enthusiasts. In 2022, the Pärnu city government initiated a project to renovate the aging skatepark. The new design, developed by Mind Work Ramps, aimed to create a modern, approximately 1,100 square meter monolithic concrete skatepark. The construction contract was awarded to Skatepargid OÜ and Gruuviramps, with a completion deadline set for November 30, 2022. The renovation project included a stipulation for a work hiatus between June 1 and August 15 to minimize disruption during the peak summer season. Initial plans scheduled construction to begin in April 2022; however, due to a dispute over the procurement process, work was delayed by approximately 40 days. This postponement led to the decision to commence construction in August 2022, following the summer break. Prior to the renovation, the existing skatepark structures were deemed unsafe due to significant deterioration, necessitating their demolition in July 2022.
