ABOUT SKATEPARK

Peru skatepark

The Peru Skatepark is located on West Canal Street in Peru, Indiana. Opened in August 2014, this 10,000-square-foot concrete skatepark was a collaborative effort between the local community and Hunger Skateparks. The park offers a dynamic layout with a snake run, large volcano, skateable granite boulder, and a significant skateable sculpture adorned with mosaics and a 5-foot skateboard embedded with glass. These features provide multiple lines and opportunities for skaters of varying skill levels.

The development of the skatepark was spearheaded by local organizer Steve Anderson, with contributions from young skaters and volunteers from across Indiana, exemplifying a strong DIY spirit.

The Peru Skatepark is open daily during normal park hours and is free to the public. Its spacious design allows skaters of all ages and skill levels to enjoy the facility simultaneously without feeling overcrowded.
