ABOUT SKATEPARK

Port Augusta skatepark

The Port Augusta Skatepark, located at Wharflands Esplanade in South Australia, was officially opened on December 19, 2010. It was designed and constructed by Convic, a leading skatepark design company. The skatepark features a variety of elements including an open bowl ranging from 4.5 to 7 feet in depth, a unique oververt ramp called "The Wave," a hip with a wall, roll-ins, and a 3-foot quarter pipe. The park also includes a small street section with various obstacles, catering to both beginners and experienced skaters.

The project was funded and overseen by the Port Augusta City Council, which aimed to provide a modern recreational space for the local youth and skaters from surrounding areas. The skatepark's design and location along the waterfront make it a key attraction in the region.
