Ctra. de Mataró, 2-20, 08911 Badalona, Barcelona, Spain.
Skate Agora is a premier skatepark located in Badalona, just outside Barcelona. Opened in 2015, the park was designed by California Skateparks, a world leader in skatepark construction. The project was spearheaded by Lateral Thinking in collaboration with Nike SB and the City Council of Badalona. This skatepark is particularly significant because it was the first in Europe to be approved for Street League Skateboarding (SLS) events, making it a venue for high-level international competitions.
With a total area of 4,683 square meters, of which 1,250 square meters is dedicated to skating, Skate Agora offers sections for all skill levels. The park includes advanced features for professional skaters, such as stairs, hubbas, and handrails, while also catering to beginners with a more accessible section that features low rails and simple steps. The park’s proximity to the Mediterranean Sea provides a stunning backdrop, adding to the allure of the location.
In addition to being a top-notch skatepark, Skate Agora serves as a skateboarding academy, providing training programs for skaters of all ages and skill levels. The park is a symbol of Barcelona's commitment to reclaiming urban space for sports and culture, as it was part of a broader effort to rejuvenate the coastline.
The skatepark is a key player in the local and international skateboarding scene, hosting the SLS Pro Open and acting as a hub for cultural and sporting events. Skate Agora's design and purpose go beyond skateboarding, aiming to serve as a platform for social transformation, education, and community engagement
