The Skatepark de Pau, located at the Pont Lalanne in Pau, France, is a modern skate facility that spans approximately 1,850 square meters. The skatepark includes a wide variety of features such as a bowl, a spine, hubbas, and different street elements like ledges, gaps, and handrails. One of the standout features is the spacious bowl, which has gained recognition for hosting events like the French Bowl Championships. Additionally, there are elements like a quarterpipe, London gap, volcano, and roll-in, which provide a comprehensive setup for skaters looking to practice diverse tricks.
Funding for the skatepark was primarily sourced from local government initiatives as part of a broader effort to develop urban sports infrastructure in Pau. This investment aligns with Pau's goal to promote outdoor activities and make the city a prime destination for skateboarding and other urban sports. The park’s central location and accessibility make it a popular spot for both locals and visitors, enhancing Pau's appeal as a regional hub for sports enthusiasts.
