ABOUT SKATEPARK

Steelton skatepark

The Steelton Skatepark, located in Steelton, Pennsylvania, opened its first phase in 2017 and is Dauphin County's first free public skatepark. It spans 28,000 square feet, with a diverse array of obstacles designed to cater to skaters of all levels, from beginners to advanced riders. The park features quarter-pipes, banks, ramps, rails, and a variety of street-style elements. In 2020, the park underwent a Phase II expansion, adding another 8,000 square feet of space, specifically designed for intermediate and advanced skaters with street and bowl components reaching up to 8 feet high.

The park was constructed by Arment Concrete, with funding provided through county gaming and tourism grants and additional funds from Steelton Borough. It serves as a regional attraction, drawing skaters from across Pennsylvania and beyond. Events at the park include skate competitions and community gatherings, fostering a strong, inclusive skating community.
