Taghazout is a popular surf destination in Morocco and the last two decades tourism has been exploding. The village definitely has changed over the years and exclusive resorts are slowly taking over. In contrast to many more recent development projects in Morocco, Taghazout skatepark was created with and for the community and that makes it's so special. It's an amazing place that brings together people from around the world. The skatepark creates friendships and nationality, class, religion or cultural background makes no difference here. Make Life Skate Life and a hundred volunteers built this fantastic in 2017 skatepark with the help of Levi's skateboarding.
Taghazout Skate provides skateboards and protection for children who can't afford their own. In the future they want to extend the park in order to be able to accomodate more youth from low-income families as well as disadvantaged women and girls.
What a view on Tagazout! Magical sunsets. The park is run by a local association that spreads the stoke and supports the sport.
Heaven on earth. Quality surf and skate. Have been here 23 times. Enough said.
