Before its reconstruction, Terneuzen Skatepark was quite basic, primarily serving as a local spot with only minimal features. The upgrade to its current state was a significant improvement for the local skate community. This transformation was part of a broader movement in skatepark development, where cities have increasingly recognized the cultural and social value of such spaces.
