Thirsk Skatepark, located in Sowerby near Thirsk, was completed in July 2012. It was built by Maverick Skateparks at a cost of £157,000. The concrete skatepark offers various features, including a hubba, roll-in, quarterpipe, funbox, and handrails, catering to skaters, BMX riders, and scooter users. The park's back-and-forth layout makes it accessible to all skill levels. The project was funded by local council support and additional grants, providing a modern facility that replaced the town's older skatepark.
