Tillamook Skatepark, located in Goodspeed Park in Tillamook, Oregon, opened in 2016 and has quickly become a popular destination for skateboarders along the Oregon coast. The 6,500-square-foot park was designed and built by SpohnRanch, a well-known skatepark construction company based in Los Angeles. The design was chosen through a competitive process, with Spohn Ranch selected for their ability to balance transition and street elements.
The skatepark features a large kidney-shaped bowl that ranges from 4 to 7 feet in depth, providing an exciting challenge for bowl skaters. In addition to the bowl, there are various street features, including quarter pipes, ledges, flat rails, and a pole jam, allowing for a range of skating styles and skill levels.
The funding for the park was provided by the City of Tillamook, with contributions from local businesses for materials. The park serves skateboarders, BMX riders, and scooter users, offering a versatile space for the community to enjoy. Since its opening, the skatepark has attracted skaters from the surrounding areas, including Portland, enhancing Tillamook’s reputation as a regional skating destination.
Plans for further development of the park have been discussed, indicating potential future expansions to meet the growing demand.
